ABOUT TOPSPIN
ENGAGING, SKILL-BUILDING SPORTS EDUCATION
OUR STORY
With over 17 years of experience in secondary school education, Andy launched Topspin Monkeys in September 2012. Since then, the programme has welcomed over 500 children to its classes, which have expanded from Epsom to various venues across Surrey. While the number of attendees may seem modest, the retention rate is remarkable—once children join, they tend to stay.
Andy's passion for sport extends beyond physical activity; he uses it as a fun and effective way to teach essential skills like social interaction, agility, confidence, and teamwork. His teaching philosophy emphasizes engaging sessions that involve parents and carers, combining variety, pace, and consistent praise to foster a sense of achievement among children of all ages.
YOUR KIND WORDS
Andy is simply superb! He is a fantastic coach and helped building up confidence for my 4 year old daughter. The classes are super friendly, engaging along with a professional atmosphere all the time. He has an excellent skill of making children comfortable and enjoy the tennis class throughout. He is the best coach; I 100% recommend him!

We have been going to Andy's tennis sessions for nearly 7 years - Andy has taught our eldest and now teaches our youngest too! He is an awesome coach and fantastic with the kids! We can't recommend Andy & Topspin Monkeys enough! Andy also does some great birthday parties for the children - full of fun, games and competition!
SAJIT P
Andy is by far the best sports teacher we have encountered! He is firm but engages the children with his enthusiasm and good humour. It is brilliant to see my son develop not only in tennis but general ball skills and sportsmanship. Can't recommend enough!
AWARD WINNING
Topspin Monkeys quickly gained recognition, earning nominations for several awards and winning 'Best Sporting Activity for Under 5s' with Kallikids in 2015. Andy's teaching experience spans multiple clubs in Surrey, including Epsom, Surbiton, Esher and the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) in Raynes Park and Wimbledon.
